Despite facing adversity early in the journey – Meagan fell into a crevasse on the second day of her expedition, but fortunately suffered only minor injuries – she remained steadfast in her objective and continued the adventure, ultimately skiing 1045 kilometres over the course of 40 days.

Since returning to Canada at the end of January, Meagan has been resting and gearing up for her next adventure, which she’s dubbed Mountain Magic. Through the spring and summer, she’ll be heading to the Himalayas to attempt to climb five of the world’s tallest mountains.

Meanwhile, Meagan is continuing to fundraise for her expeditions. Recently, friends hosted a fundraiser at Absolute Comedy in Ottawa, raising over $1,000 to help Meagan offset the costs of her adventures this year.
